Résumé :

Photographer Christopher Andersons work is characterised by an emotionally charged style he refers to as experiential documentary. While spending time in the French Mediterranean city of Sète, he documented its inhabitants, urban spaces and culture, with particular focus on the Festival of St. Louis and its sport of water jousting. As Anderson states, I decided to make flags out of photographs. He was inspired to play with colours (blue, white and red), to use the symbols of colour to reflect on the very ideas of symbols and of identity. Among the numerous captivating images he produced, the thrilling shots of water jousters against a blue sky are most memorable.
